I disagree with you about the death penalty. Murder should be repaid with execution. Thefts of over 100k, violent rape, and treason, for example, are also crimes where the damage done is immense. A swift and certain death penalty would act a a deterrent. We don't have such a penalty in any state. In terms of politics, the pre-1933 death of Hitler would have likely prevented the European war and saved the lives of millions of Jews. The death of Lenin in 1915 would have prevented the communist revolution that birthed the murderous Soviet Union. Are we, the average men, to keep a Joseph Stalin or a Bin Laden in prison for life, thereby risking that a future government will parole him? Our military takes an oath to defend us against our domestic enemies. Should they never execute a treasonous man or an enemy civilian? Wars may he fought in non- violent ways, a tactic the Left uses to peacefully invade many western nations in order to destabilize them and foment a communist revolution. When that revolution comes, how many millions will be slaughtered without even an hour to repent? The tree of liberty must be watered by the blood of tyrants at the cost of the blood of patriots. Do you agree with what Jefferson wrote?
